Happy Monday! I pray you've all been doing exceptionally well. I know that calendars fill up fast around the holidays, so I'd like to invite those of you in New York and surrounding areas to save the date for this fantastic event co-sponsored byZEYBRAH and the Orisa Community Development Corporation -- two organizations working for positive change and community empowerment. There will be drumming, dancing, an African marketplace and more -- all FREE! The event will also feature a keynote address by Ayoka Quinones, author of I Hear Olofi's Song.
It will all take place at the Dwyer Cultural Center, 258 St. Nicholas Avenue (at 123rd Street) on Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 3pm to 7pm. Save the date and treat yourself and your family to a wonderful time! I hope to see you there!
