Isn’t that the LAST thing you want to hear when things aren’t quite going your way? *laugh*

Much as we may not like to hear it sometimes, the reality is it’s always true! Even when we find ourselves in dark, undesirable situations some bit of light – no matter how small – manages to shine through and restore us. We have to be careful of focusing so much on the darkness that we miss that little bit of light in the distance.

Yesterday, I was standing on the train platform and a mother/sister approached me and said hello. Upon realizing that she had left something important someplace she had been previously (she couldn’t remember where) she shook her head and said, “This doesn’t seem to be my day…” She left the station and went to look, to no avail. When she came back, she looked a bit disappointed, but when she looked up and saw that I was still standing there and she smiled and said, “Well, at least I didn’t miss the train.” I replied, “See, the day is turning around already!”

When things don’t seem to be going well, frustration is natural so g’head, take that moment to experience your feelings. Vent, but don’t wallow, before you know it the sunshine will break through – keep your eyes open for the small blessings and appreciate them when they come! Ase!
